End of Year stroll.....

A New Years Eve stroll this afternoon around one of my favourite Northumberland houses.....Wallington Hall.

The clock tower and estate cottages lead visitors through to the 17th century Hall, home to the Trevelyan family and now managed by the National Trust....

Everything was locked up and just a handful of people were walking through the grounds and woodland.

Peace and quiet.....

Craggy, old trees lined the paths....some divided....

Some with many branches to follow....

Others broken.....

A bit like people really.

Then the  "hiding tree" where children love to play amongst the branches....

Fun and laughter.....joyful times.....

Time to reflect on the New Year and what it will bring for all of us.....I'm hoping it is a good one!

With love,
Julie x

  10. Hi Julie, this will make you smile. I went to have coffee with a customer before Christmas. She follows my blog, and she said, when I saw the crown lights on the antique dealers blog I had to rush off to Tesco's to get them, and she did! Your influence is radiating far and wide!
Thanks so much for your comments, I am so glad you agree with me as I am a great admirer of your style. I hope you still have some time off? Love Linda x

  15. That sounds like the most wonderful day out. I love going to places when it turns out that there's hardly anyone there (though the reason is invariably because it's raining!!).

    Happy New Year, my lovely!
